Young emphasizes the importance of making support part of the broader school culture, explaining that “the best thing is to have every staff member… be able to give that same culture and same level of care.” McDonald adds that trauma-informed schools shift the conversation from blame to support: “No longer are we asking, ‘What’s wrong with that kid?’ We’re asking, ‘What happened to that student, and how can we better support them?’”
