KingSpry Attorneys Present Investigation and Special Education Workshops for SAW 2026

Posted on May 29th, 2026

KingSpry congratulates attorneys Rebecca Young, Brian Taylor and Rachel Sokolsky who will be presenting sessions for the 2026 Summer Administrative Workshop (SAW) on June 18 at Northampton Community College.

A smiling man with short gray hair, glasses, and a trimmed beard is wearing a blue dress shirt, patterned tie, and dark suit jacket. The background features a softly focused office setting with wooden partitions and lights.

The Investigation Process

In this workshop. Attorney Brian Taylor will share a comprehensive overview of the investigation process, with an emphasis on those conducted in the environment of educational institutions. He’ll cover Title IX, Title VI, Title VII, Breaches of Policy and Code of Ethics violations, as well as the interplay of various grounds for each. Attendees will learn best practices for the investigation process, including how to make your investigative record Exhibit A in the event of litigation. Attorney Taylor is Chair of the Investigations and Compliance Services Group for KingSpry.

A middle-aged person with short, light brown hair is smiling at the camera. They are wearing a dark blazer over a light-colored top. The background consists of blurred vertical wooden elements, creating a warm, indoor setting.

Special Education and Related News

In this workshop, Attorneys Rebecca Young and Rachel Sokolsky will review trends in special education litigation as well as legislative and policy changes.

In addition, they will recap and discuss federal decisions that affect procedures and liability standards under the IDEA and Section 504.

A woman with shoulder-length brown hair wearing a light blue button-up shirt smiles at the camera. The background features wooden panels and soft lighting.

Attorney Young is Chair of the KingSpry Special Education Law Practice Group. Attorney Sokolsky is a member of the Special Education Law Practice Group.
