Kristine Roddick

Kristine Marakovits-Roddick is a former Managing Partner of KingSpry. Chair of the Education Law Practice Group, she practices in the areas of general and special education law.

She has represented school districts in various legal matters statewide in counties including Lehigh, Northampton, Carbon, Bucks, Wayne, Montgomery, Schuylkill, Luzerne, Pike,  Centre, Allegheny, Monroe and Philadelphia.

Ms. Roddick is a frequent lecturer in the education field, speaking on a variety of issues facing school districts including First Amendment issues, student discipline, special education, transgender issues, confidentiality issues and taxation. She is a Past President of the Pennsylvania School Board Solicitors’ Association.

She is a former Assistant Solicitor for Monroe County Children and Youth Services Agency, and was previously appointed by the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office as Special Assistant District Attorney for truancy matters.

After law school, Ms. Roddick clerked for the Honorable Jerome P. Cheslock of the Court of Common Pleas of Monroe County.

Ms. Roddick was named a “Power 100” business leader in 2021 and 2022, and a “Power 30 in Law” in 2021 by the editors of Lehigh Valley Business. In 2014, she was named a “Super Lawyer Rising Star” by Super Lawyer and Philadelphia Magazine, and in 2015, she was named a “Women Of Influence” by Lehigh Valley Business. In 2019, she was named a Zephyr Graduate of Distinction by her alma mater, Whitehall-Coplay School District. Most recently, she was honored for Leadership of a Small Business by the Morning Call’s 2022 Top Workplace awards.

Ms. Roddick earned her law degree from Villanova University School of Law. She graduated magna cum laude from Rutgers University with a B.A. in Political Science, a minor in Psychology, and a certificate in Criminology, where she was in the Honors Program and received the Dean’s Scholar Award.
