At the 2019 Women’s Business Council Summit at Cedar Crest College this week, the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce honored KingSpry partner Dorota Gasienica-Kozak for ten years of service to the Chamber and its mission councils.
Mistress of Ceremonies Ashley Russo introduced Dorota saying, “Every time you are in her presence, you know something wonderful and empowering is about to happen… when she looks you in the eye, you know Dorota has your back.”
During her tenure as chair of the Women’s Business Council, Kozak helped lift the Women’s Summit to new heights, bringing in such female powerhouse speakers as Marlo Thomas and Gloria Steinhem, which is why the Chamber chose to honor her at this signature event.
Kozak, whose term as Chair of the Board of Governors ends later this month, thanked everyone, and urged participants to get involved for the betterment of themselves and our community at large.
In her remarks to the crowd, she shared some valuable lessons she has learned along the way. “Be patient. Take your turn. Choose your path. Share your talents. Be confident. Be passionate. Give back to others. Celebrate other perspectives and make room for others to contribute and thrive.”
Kozak then ended her remarks with a quote from Coco Chanel, “The most courageous act is still to think for yourself. Aloud.”
