$225This full-day session offers five Act 48 credit hours for an in-depth seminar led by our attorneys and distinguished guests.
This session is designed to provide a general overview of effective Chapter 16 compliance for public schools.
Our school law attorney presenters will cover the following topics:
- Gifted Eligibility
- Child Find, Universal Screeners, and Student-Specific Inquiries
- Legal Requirements for Responding to a Parent Request for Gifted Services and/or Testing
- Conducting an Effective and Legally-Compliant GIEP Team Meeting
- Common GIEP Drafting and Placement Issues
- Timelines and Procedural Requirements
In this session, we will focus on best practices, and participants will have the opportunity to engage with educators and administrators from other schools to share success stories and brainstorm solutions for challenging issues.
