Posted on February 19th, 2025

Set against the backdrop of iconic Lehigh Valley structures, KingSpry’s new podcast “Landmarks” explores the legal intricacies of the real estate world and offers insights to help listeners make informed decisions about buying, selling, developing or investing in Pennsylvania real estate.

Episode Two, “How To Work With An Engineer” airs on all major podcast platforms beginning February 19, 2025. We invite everyone to listen and subscribe.

On this episode, real estate attorneys Karley Biggs Sebia and Taisha Tolliver-Duran welcome Matthew Malozi, Vice President of Remington & Vernick Engineers to the podcast, where they explore the role of an engineer in commercial real estate projects. When do you need an engineer? When is the best time to engage an engineer? How do attorneys and engineers work together to make projects more successful?

“Engineering plays a pivotal role in real estate, but most people, including engineers, don’t really understand the role of the engineer or the potential in development projects,” May says, “Leveraging the engineers experience and insights to understand any potential liabilities with a site and to work alongside attorneys to develop a project approval strategy is really where engineers can be most valuable to a project team.”

“Some conversations that we’re having with our clients ask what type of project are you looking to get into, and who are the right people to have for the job? I think that component of attorney and engineer collaboration and collaboration with other professionals is really important.” Karley notes.

“Landmarks” is hosted by KingSpry Real Estate attorneys Karley Biggs Sebia and Taisha Tolliver-Duran who engage each episode with leaders in our local commercial real estate industry.

Landmarks is produced by Steel Pixel Studios with music by Don Loughney. This podcast is a production of KingSpry’s Real Estate Law Practice Group. It is meant to be strictly informational and does not constitute legal advice. Should you have any questions about any of the topics discussed on the show, please contact your local legal counsel.
