Homeless and Foster Care Students

FreeKingSpry and Greyfriars Institute team up to present an update for schools on legal issues related to serving the needs of homeless students and those who are placed in foster care.
Education Attorney Rebecca Young, Julie Schaible, coordinator, child and family services for the Allentown School District and Russell Valentini, ASD’s homeless liaison, will lead the discussion.
In this seminar, we will review statutory provisions that address the rights of children in foster care and children and families experiencing homelessness and discuss special considerations and obligations when working with these children and families in the school setting.
This event is free of charge for clients and friends, but seating is limited and registration is required.
